There is a bug with Examplify that changes the background and clears all icons and folders from the desktop. The user cannot click or drag any icons back.

Your files and folders from your desktop are still there, they are located in Finder > Desktop 


  1. Restart Macbook
  2.  While Finder is selected, click on Finder in the top left
  3. Click View
  4. Make sure "Stacks" is not selected
  5. Locate the Terminal app
  6. type in defaults write com.apple.Finder CreateDesktop true; kill all Finder
  7.  Icons should be back in their original places
